Freakin' Sleep DEPRIVATION!!

Sleep: a natural regularly recurring rest of the body, during which there is little or no conscious thought.

Deprivation: to take away from, to keep from having, to separate.

Just in case you needed the definition. I am NOT having the regular recurring rest which I so need and deserve.

You may be asking yourself why this is....or not. I will still vent, it is my blog and I'll vent if I want to.

1 Word Teenagers.

Remember when......you used to go out at night with your friends and your parents told you to wake them when you got home. Well my daughter and son don't have to wake me, I am waiting already AWAKE!! This came from learning that if I went to sleep they just woke me anyway. But it's not just a, "mom I'm home". No! It's a mom I'm home want to hear about my date, etc. and then after getting the 1/2 to 1 hour 411 you can't go back to sleep. You've had just enough to make you feel all bright eyed and bushy tailed. Then it takes another 1/2 to 1 hour to wind down enough to fall asleep for the second time.

This is my life. During Christmas break and on the weekends I am going to bed on the average at 2:00 a.m. Yes you heard me 2:00 A.M. Then up at the crack of dawn to undertake all other tasks required of me.

I AM SLEEP DEPRIVED!!

For crap sakes it's Saturday morning and I am killing time between taking Ben (at 7:00 a.m.) to honor guard and taking Brooklyn to Jr Jazz and making sure Bailee gets her sleepy self out of bed and off to Rehearsal. I should be sleeping.

Well all complaints aside I have always been a night owl, but I'm over the edge, last night I had to stay awake and sit by my daughters phone, (while she slept on the couch nearby) waiting for the friend with benefits to text that he was home. Then only to wake her so she could reply. He drives 30 minutes to see her so when he leaves he is required to report on his safe arrival home. SO to add insult to injury I am not only waiting up for my own teenagers but for the teenagers important friends too. What is a mother to do? The things we do out of love.

TAKE A NAP!! ;)

P.S. and BTW....yes this is what the boyfriend is called now a friend with benefits. Come on!! Is there anything wrong with saying I have a boyfriend. Teenagers these days and their labels or the lack thereof. (you may also be wondering what the benefits are; I am not at liberty to say)
