I am not a huge T.V. watcher. Really, I only watch like 3 shows.
The ones I don't miss, meaning DVR/Tivo whichever makes sense to you.
- The Bachelor/Bachelorette
I know this is ridiculous. But I love it. Sadly Brooklyn watches it faithfully with me.
I don't let her watch if it gets Slinky. Finale next week....He better choose the right girl!
- The Amazing Race
What more can I say. This is a Sunday night ritual for the whole family. We love it!
It is Amazing! ;)
- Survivor
I have watched Survivor off and on for like ever. I love it...then I get sick of it...
skip a season...and back at it the next. It's a love hate relationship I have.
So you might be wondering the point of this whole post?!
This week I felt compelled to watch an episode of American Idol. I can honestly say I have NEVER seen one single episode.
I succumbed to the pressure and watched.
My thoughts:
Some really good voices.
Some really terrible voices.
Some entertainers.
Some bombs.
Paula always talked like she was on drugs. Is she?
Don't like the new girl, whoever she is.
Love Simon. Does this make me some kind of traitor?
Can't see what all the hype is about. Maybe if I follow a whole season I'll be hooked.
Verdict: I might just have to watch the whole season. See how the Utah girl does as she is the step niece of a friend of mine.
So apparently I only watch Reality T.V. This seems wrong somehow. I might have to add a sitcom or drama. Any recommendations?

Message in a cup...
If you live in the south part of Salt Lake Valley,
And you drove south on Bangerter Highway this weekend,
You might have seen this......
especially by Andrew.
He and Ben used 397 red cups to pop this question.
2 hours, frozen hands and ears later...
WE had ourselves a masterpiece.
Who said having teenagers is a pain.
Were loving it. So much excitement and wonder.

TGIF!!
Seriously...... I am ready for the weekend.
I need to sleep in past 6:45 a.m. I would be happy with 8:00 a.m.
I need and want to catch up on my laundry.
I will finish the novel I am reading.
I really want to work in the yard... But alas even though it feels like spring, its NOT!!
Yard work must wait...
I'm looking forward to dinner with my (40 year old) high school friends tonight.
I really want to see a good chick flick.
I look forward to my hubby having a day off, even though the overtime is making me rich.. I wish!
And finally, I just want to kick back and relax.
Is this too much to ask?

"Sweethearts"
Bailee, went to her first semi-formal Dance..
"Sweethearts"
She was successful in pinning on the boutonniere.
Even after all the worry over it.
Daddy was working so we were ordered to take tons of photos.
The group came here after the dance to frost sugar cookies,
have sundaes and play games.
While Bailee was off getting her hair done, Andrew
decorated her room.
200 hearts taped to walls and ceiling...
rose petals covering the bed and floor...
and a few gifts.
Upon finally seeing it squeals could be heard all the way upstairs,
all the teens in the house had to traipse down and admire the work.
It made her feel very special and happy.

"Bouncing Baby Boy"
Where do all the years go?
15 ago we had a Bouncing Baby Boy!!
Yesterday, February 9th
We have a pre-dating, permit driving
pre-teen!
I don't know how I feel about being a mother
to two driving teenagers.
He is a super fun son.
He is outnumbered by his sisters,
who always boss him around.
He is a BUDDY to his teenage sister
and an example to his little sister.
Bailee and I have one goal. Teach him to be a good date! :)
He has one year to learn.
WE have started making him get our doors etc.
Date Training! ;)
He is a good SPORT about it all.
You may wonder about the picture with the gun....
Let me explain!
I wondered why the two REAL ammunition guns he has weren't good enough.
"Because I can't shoot my friends with them"
Well this makes so much sense. Pffft!
SO off to the store his goes with Dad.
Home they come with $200.00 worth.
One automatic machine gun for him...
Two pistols, one for each friend, NOT automatic.
Sounds like and unfair fight to me.
So here we have the cake picture with the Gun.

"Grand Slam"
Yesterday was the "Grand Slam" day at Denny's. Come in and get a free "Grand Slam" breakfast.
Yesterday was also the first day of USBCT testing at ALL local high schools.
What does this mean?
School doesn't start until 10:06 a.m. for all Juniors and Seniors who passed said test their Sophomore year!!
What does this mean?
Can you say a Run On Denny's?! My daughter was involved in this mass exodus to Denny's for Free breakfast, with a few of her friends. It was amazing to me that the teenager would arise before 6:30 a.m. on an official sleep in day, all for free breakfast. But, alas she did.
They waited in line with millions of other area high school teenagers for forever before finally giving up.
Home to the Paxmans house of Pancakes. I luckily was at work. Dad got out all the fixin's and pulled together "Cowboy Grub" and "Waffles". Bailee and her 6 guy friends ate free breakfast after all. The only comments dad had for mom on her arrival home were....
1. Where were the other girls? LOL (Bailee has many friends of the male persuasion, just friends) Often we have a house full with maybe her and one other girl friend. Go figure. Guys don't gossip or backbite. Makes perfect sense to me.
2. Good thing you have a stock of strawberry jam in the freezer. They consumed a Whole Jar! :)
3. They listen to good music. One of the boys threw his ipod onto the docking station in the kitchen and my husband amazingly liked the music selection. "I must know the artist" he said.
Who says parents can't be fun?
