I really don't like public speaking.
It is not my thing.
I don't mind giving a lesson or speaking to a small group but big groups are out.
I get to speak in Sacrament Meeting on Sunday and I'm not really overly thrilled.
This is not what I consider a small group.
The topic, "How living the Young Women Values can Anchor you to Christ".
But don't talk about the values specifically.
-sigh-
I have been pondering this for a good 2 weeks.
I do think I finally have my thoughts organized and I'm ready to write it all down.
I really can't wait until it's done.
I think I might just get up and say the Bishop has asked me to speak about...
and say some random subject. Just to see if I can get a reaction.
A check to see who is really paying attention.
Might get me a funny look from the bishopric. Worth it? I think so.
On the up side
There will first be two young women speakers,
a musical number and my two councilors will speak.
If I'm lucky I might just have enough time to say "I agree".
For those of you who worry...
I will keep my promise and I wont say the word "Anchor". Not one time!
I can give that topic without using that word. Just see if I don't.
Wish me luck!

Someone New I'm Reading
I recently started reading a new blog. I found her through the Nie Nie dialogues. Lora the writer of this blog was featured on Nie's Motherhood essay contest. It's on my sidebar and called My Camo Kids.
I recommend it.
She is the wife of a soldier who has just left on his third deployment since 2008. They have just adopted a special needs child from the Ukraine.
I respect these women who we sometimes forget. They too are making a sacrifice for our country.
They are wives, mothers and sisters who live without their spouses, sons, daughters and brothers as they serve our country. I am sure always wondering and praying for their safe return. I am grateful for the sacrifice these families make on my behalf.
Go read you wont be disappointed.
*I will be blogging about my cruise and other happenings soon. :-)
