Our Last day in West Yellowstone
was the day our whole family (including Bailee) got to spend together.
Started out shooting.
We went to a range that you can shoot any kind of weapon.
Of course this attracted our guys.
The girls were game as well.
I would list the names of the guns they shot...
There were about 12
But I have no idea what they were all called.
We then went into the park again.
Bought Bailee a season pass,
Hopefully she will get many chances to go see the sights with her Playmill Family.
Our first stop was the Brink of the Upper falls.
and as we were getting out of the van in the parking lot...
this came walking by.
It looks scarier than it was.
We were not far from our van and there were a lot of people around.
That bear just came wondering out of the woods
across the parking lot and back into the woods.
Then off on a 600 ft. descent down a lot of switch backs
to the actual brink of the falls.
What a sight.
Then we drove to another over look and got a view from the other angle.
Isn't it beautiful.
A few family shots...
Ben has a little something in his eye and dad was helping him out..
He couldn't open it, it hurt so bad. :-)
This is what happens to the road when a bear is sighted!
Really people...
Your supposed to pull over so other cars can pass.
Instead major traffic jam.
Just shows you don't often really sight a bear.
But.... lucky us we saw two in as little as two hours.
This one just came ambling over the hill.
These photos are all taken from our vehicle.
The bear actually came within about 8 feet of the car.
We also took Bailee out to Big Springs which is in Island Park
where the cabin we stayed is located.
You can feed enormous trout here and also a little
Muskrat made an appearance begging for bread.
The water is crystal clear and just comes from somewhere out of the ground.
It is amazing how much water this spring produces.
A special thanks to the Lawrence Family in our ward
they allowed us to stay in there wonderfully cozy cabin
in Island Park
which is only about 25 minutes from West Yellowstone
where Bailee lives.
SO it worked perfectly.
It was a darling place and we loved staying there.
Here's a cute one of my guys.
It was a great vacation!
I highly recommend it!
The whole experience of Yellowstone Park is so worth it.
The Playmill a must see attraction as well.
If you find yourself there...
Say a hello to our Bailee.
She loves to see family and friends.
