Mail, Mail, and more Mail!
Our lives seem to revolve around the mail.
Letters in the mail
email in boxes
all checked daily.
Sometime in January...
The days all run together...
Bailee auditioned at UTA.
A 3 day workshop put on by
the Utah Theatre Association.
Each high school got to choose 2-4 students
to audition for all the Theatre Department Heads
from all the colleges in Utah,
some other western states and more.
Depending on how well you did
you may or may not
get an invite to audition for their specific program.
You will be notified by mail, email or phone.
We have heard from:
University of Utah
BYU
Snow College
Weber State College
Dixie State College
Utah Valley University
The College of Western Wyoming
and
AMDA.
(Conservatory for performing arts in NYC)
Now....
Auditions
Resumes
Head shots
Admission Applications
Essays
Letters of Recommendation
etc. etc. etc.
The poor girl has an audition a week
except for Valentines weekend.
BYU was the first and most stressful
then they all line up after that.
The final one being March 13th
for AMDA.
Then we wait and watch the mail AGAIN!!
For acceptances, scholarship offers or
the all time favorite...
Thank you for your time we're just not interested.
Then it will be decision time..
Where will she go?
What will the choices be?
Hopefully this question will be answered..
By March 31st.
Then the hunt for housing will begin.
Will it ever end?

Our stake had a meeting a few weeks ago to educate parents like me who are newbies at college. It was overwhelming to learn that even though he is in 8th grade, now is the time to start all the essays and crap. All the kids in our ward are waiting to hear if they got into BYU. I think the letters get mailed on the 18th. They are all crazy excited. It is so funny!!
She is amazing and it's good to know that wherever she ends up at least you won't have to worry about her being a success!

This is a very busy and exciting time. I am sure the right place/school and everything will work out. She is amazing!
