Road Rage

A few months ago I made myself a personal goal.
No More Road Rage.
I believe an explanation might be necessary..
I don't have road rage to the extent where I drive crazily just to make the other drivers aware of their stupidity or that they have irritated me.
I don't use vulgar hand gestures.
No, I just raise my voice in anger and complaining inside my own car.
Sometimes I raise my hands up in frustration.
Really all of this is futile because the only people hearing my anger are those innocent ones in my car.
So I decided to try really hard to not yell and complain about the other drivers.
I have be doing so so GOOD!

Until Wednesday.
I was driving through the river bottoms heading east.
Being the forward thinking aware driver I am.. :)
I noticed quite a bit ahead a car pulling out of the right shoulder into traffic going VERY slow.
VERY VERY slow.
I merge into the left lane as well as the car ahead of me as to avoid having to almost stop behind this very slow merging driver.
We are traveling at a speed of 50 mph or so.
As we get near to overtaking this car, I will now have to call idiot.
He/she merges into the left lane, cutting us off, still going very very slow and causes the car in front of me and I to have to brake to almost a stop.
I meanwhile am fearing the guy racing up my backside will not stop.
You know what I'm talking about, the look your giving in your review mirror as you see the car behind you speeding up rapidly with no signs of slowing to avoid rear ending you.
I digress...
Anyway this then very slow driver immediately slows even farther and flips a U turn!!
Without even using the suicide lane!!! Are you kidding me?! (suicide lane is what my husband refers to as the middle yellow turn lane)
I will now openly admit...
I succumbed to road rage!!
I will however say, I was alone in the car so know one else suffered the effects.
But, I was so mad after, because I had been doing so good at not getting angry while driving.
And this episode brought my road rage right out.
~sigh~
Now I have to start again.
Really it would be so much easier if people used the whole of their brain while driving a moving vehicle.
Not the half that is not busy texting, looking at the sights, putting on their make up, rooting in their purse or whatever causes their distracted driving.
The up side....
as my husband always jokingly says...Job Security.

oops. Sorry I cut you off ;). No - I HATE bad drivers. Unfortunately, Calan has learned the word "idiot" from me talking to other drivers.... I need to follow your example and do better!!
