A Look Back.....
One of my New Years Goals for 2017 is to get back in the habit of keeping up my blog. When Benjamin left on a mission I undertook keeping up his mission blog and let mine have a break. I loved doing his mission blog, it was a labor of love. Then when he came home I just took a blogging break altogether. The last time I posted on this blog it was March 2014. Some time has passed and I feel like so much is happening and I want to document it. So, here I am with a goal to blog at least twice a month. Wish me luck!
In the last almost three years life has been full of changes. These are just some of the moments:

15 Days
In just 15 short days...
I can't believe it's almost time.
Honestly, I feel a little stressed.
Have I taught him all the important things needed to survive in the world?
Will he be able to do his own laundry without ruining his clothes?
Will he eat things besides Ramen?
Have we bought everything he needs?
I am making lists and checking them twice.
I really want to be all done by Friday.
Suitcases packed, all tasks finished.
I just want us to enjoy the last ten days doing nothing but spending quality family time.
You raise a son his whole life with this goal.
Serving a two year mission.
Now that it's really here I feel....
No words can really describe how it feels to think of sending your son off into the world for two years. Two years that you will not see him. At all. It's going to be an adjustment for sure.
Wish us luck.

Good Intentions
My good intentions prompted me to make it a goal to post on my blog every day.
I even went so far as to challenge myself to put a picture of the day up,
hoping this would help me stick to my goal.
Failure, utter failure.
I just let the run and run part of life interfere with my good intentions.
Don't we all do this?
We make a plan of some sort...
Things we're going to accomplish.
People we are going to serve more diligently.
Places we're going to go.
Goals to accomplish.
And something, someone or whatever interferes with our good intentions.
My big question-dilemma...
How to keep things from distracting me?
Something to work on...Focus, Focus Focus!!
And never give up, just pick myself up and start again.
On a side note, another good intention I have...
Drop some of this weight.
I lose a few pounds..gain a few pounds.
I really need to keep on the losing part..
Or at least lose more than I gain so as eventually I am down more.
So in keeping with this I am always on the lookout for healthy recipes.
My sister gave me a great one for really low fat Baking Soda Biscuits.
"Angel Biscuits"
They are pictured below...
May I say "They are greeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaat!"
